Der griechisch-deutsche\u00a0Pianist, Dirigent und Komponist\u00a0Aris Alexander Blettenberg\u00a0hat sich als einer der vielseitigsten Musiker seiner Generation etabliert.
\nIm Oktober 2021 gewann er den ersten Preis beim hoch dotierten Internationalen\u00a0Beethoven-Klavierwettbewerb in Wien\u00a0und unterstrich damit seinen Ruf als herausragender K\u00fcnstler. \"\"David Friedman<\/strong> gilt als einer der einflussreichsten Vibraphonisten in der Geschichte des Instruments. International bekannt als Vibraphonist, Marimbist, Komponist und Jazzp\u00e4dagoge, hat er seine eigene musikalische Botschaft, die aus faszinierend vielf\u00e4ltigen musikalischen Einfl\u00fcssen entstanden ist.
\nNur wenige Jazzmusiker, die mit so unterschiedlichen Musikerpers\u00f6nlichkeiten wie Leonard Bernstein, Luciano Berio, Bobby McFerrin, Wayne Shorter und Yoko Ono zusammengearbeitet haben, k\u00f6nnen ein so breites Spektrum an Auftritts- und Aufnahmeerfahrung vorweisen.
\nUnd die Liste ist noch lange nicht zu Ende. Friedman war entweder live oder auf Aufnahmen u. a. mit Joe Henderson, Horace Silver, Johnny Griffin, Hubert Laws, Jane Ira Bloom, Ron Carter und John Scofield zu h\u00f6ren. Friedmans Vibraphon und seine Kompositionen sind beide auf Chet Bakers preisgekr\u00f6nter Enja-Ver\u00f6ffentlichung Peace zu h\u00f6ren, zusammen mit dem Bassisten Buster Williams und dem Schlagzeuger Joe Chambers.<\/p>\n

Als engagierter und renommierter P\u00e4dagoge gr\u00fcndete David Friedman den Studiengang Jazz an der Universit\u00e4t der K\u00fcnste Berlin, den er sechzehn Jahre lang leitete.<\/p>\n

Er gibt weiterhin Meisterkurse in ganz Europa, Nordamerika und Japan. Sein Buch Vibraphone Technique, Dampening and Pedaling gilt als die Bibel der Mallet-Lehrb\u00fccher. 1977 gr\u00fcndete Friedman zusammen mit Dave Samuels das einzigartige Vibe-Marimba-Quartett Double Image. Rob Waring<\/strong> (1956) in New York und lebte von 1974 bis zu seinem Umzug nach Oslo (Norwegen) im Jahr 1981 in Manhattan. Noch w\u00e4hrend seiner Highschoolzeit studierte Rob bei Roland Kohloff, der gerade Pauker der New Yorker Philharmoniker geworden war. Anschlie\u00dfend studierte er Schlagzeug an der Juilliard School bei Saul Goodman und Elden \u201eBuster\u201c Bailey (1974-79). W\u00e4hrend dieser Zeit belegte er auch Wahlf\u00e4cher in Komposition bei Stanley Wolfe und studierte 1975 Jazz-Vibraphon bei Dave Samuels. Als freiberuflicher Musiker in New York. Rob arbeitete in Sinfonieorchestern, Jazzgruppen, Ensembles f\u00fcr neue Musik und einem experimentellen Ensemble f\u00fcr selbstgebaute Instrumente. Er war auch ein gefragter Begleiter f\u00fcr modernen Tanz.
\nSeit seiner \u00dcbersiedlung nach Norwegen im Jahr 1981 ist Rob Waring als Musiker, Komponist und Lehrer t\u00e4tig. Sowohl als klassischer Schlagzeuger als auch als Jazz-Vibraphonist war er eine zentrale Figur in der zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Musikszene in Oslo und hat mit Musikern und Ensembles zusammengearbeitet, die ein breites Spektrum an musikalischen Ans\u00e4tzen und Stilen repr\u00e4sentieren.

\nDas Kulturzentrum Schloss Steninge in Schweden wurde am 12. Juni 1999 mit der \u201eSteninge World Exhibition of Art Glass 1999\u201c er\u00f6ffnet. Rob wurde beauftragt, speziell f\u00fcr diese Ausstellung elektroakustische Musik zu komponieren. Die Musik wurde w\u00e4hrend der gesamten Ausstellungsdauer (12. Juni – 17. Konstantin Manaev<\/strong>\u00a0begeistert sein Publikum weltweit und wurde f\u00fcr seine Konzerte in New York, Los Angeles, Moskau, Paris, Berlin, Z\u00fcrich, Wien, Mailand, St. Petersburg und Tokio hoch gelobt.<\/p>\n

Konstantin Manaev begann das Cellospiel mit J.S. Bachs Suite Nr. 1. Als er sechs Jahre alt war, spielte ihm seine Mutter, eine Pianistin, das Klavierpr\u00e4ludium aus Bachs Suite Nr. 1 vor, und er war v\u00f6llig fasziniert und wollte die Melodie sofort wiederholen. Doch seine Mutter erwiderte: \u201eKostjuscha, wenn du das spielen willst, musst du Cello lernen, denn Bach hat das St\u00fcck f\u00fcr Cello komponiert, nicht f\u00fcr Klavier.\u201c Innerhalb einer Woche hatte er ein kleines 1\/8-Cello und begann, Bach zu \u00fcben. Zu seinen bemerkenswert zahlreichen Gesamtaufnahmen geh\u00f6ren aber auch unbekannte Werke bekannter Komponisten, wie beispielsweise Mendelssohns rekonstruiertes Klavierkonzert in e-Moll, f\u00fcr das er 2009 mit dem ECHO Klassik ausgezeichnet wurde. Er hat H\u00e4ndels gesamte Orgelkonzerte in eigenen Arrangements f\u00fcr Klavier aufgenommen. Die CD \u201eBeethoven unknown\u201c, die zum Beethoven-Jubil\u00e4um 2020 entstanden ist, enth\u00e4lt unbekannte Perlen des Komponisten und stieg sofort in die Top Ten der deutschen Klassik-Charts ein. 2021 nahm er Hummels Klavierkonzert Nr. zusammen mit Konzertst\u00fccken von Weber und Mendelssohn auf (Frankfurter Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester, Michael Sanderling).<\/p>\n

Er war kein Wunderkind, im Gegenteil: Wie er selbst sagt, \u201esprang er auf den allerletzten Zug f\u00fcr eine Karriere als Pianist auf\u201c. Im Alter von neun bis 14 Jahren, als andere bereits erste Wettbewerbserfahrungen sammelten, lebte er mit seinen Eltern in Namibia, weit entfernt von den Ausbildungsm\u00f6glichkeiten, die man braucht, um Pianist zu werden. 1976 kehrte er ohne seine Eltern nach Deutschland zur\u00fcck und wurde Jungstudent bei Renate Kretschmar-Fischer an der Musikhochschule Detmold. \u201eEs war ein Schock zu sehen und zu h\u00f6ren, was meine Altersgenossen bereits spielen konnten\u201c, erinnert er sich. Kirschnereit setzte alles auf eine Karte und verlie\u00df die Schule ohne Abitur. Wettbewerbserfolge, wie beim Concours G\u00e9za Anda in Z\u00fcrich, gaben ihm Recht.<\/p>\n

Seit langem gibt er seine Erfahrungen und \u00dcberzeugungen als Professor an der Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater Rostock an die n\u00e4chste Generation von Musikern weiter. Kostas Siskos<\/strong> wurde in Griechenland, auf der Insel Korfu, geboren.\u00a0Im Jahr 2000 begann er sein Postgraduiertenstudium f\u00fcr Horn an der Universit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz unter der Leitung von Professor Hector McDonald (Solohornist bei den Wiener Symphonikern). W\u00e4hrend seines Studiums erhielt er Unterricht auf dem modernen Doppelhorn, dem Wiener Horn und dem Naturhorn und schloss 2002 mit Auszeichnung ab.\u00a0Von 2000 bis 2003 war Kostas Siskos Solohornist des Orchesters der Nationaloper Athen und seit 2004 ist er Solohornist des Staatsorchesters Athen.\u00a0Au\u00dferdem war Kostas Siskos regelm\u00e4\u00dfiger Substitut bei den Wiener Symphonikern (auf dem Wiener Horn), dem Concentus Musicus unter der Leitung von Nikolaus Harnoncourt auf dem Naturhorn, und vielen anderen europ\u00e4ischen Orchestern.\u00a0Neben seiner Orchestert\u00e4tigkeit tritt Kostas Siskos regelm\u00e4\u00dfig als Hornsolist auf, und ist Mitglied einiger Bl\u00e4serkammermusiensembles in Athen\u00a0Kostas Siskos ist seit vielen Jahren als P\u00e4dagoge t\u00e4tig, mit besonderem Schwerpunkt auf dem Unterricht f\u00fcr sehr junge Menschen. Seit 1997 unterrichtet er am „Diethnes-Konservatorium“ in Athen und am „Ionischen Konservatorium“ auf Korfu. Mit Sch\u00fclern im Alter von 7 bis 35 Jahren ist df Lehrer der gr\u00f6\u00dften Hornklasse in Griechenland, was die Anzahl der Sch\u00fcler betrifft. Er ist auch der erste und bisher einzige Hornlehrer, der seinen Sch\u00fclern sowohl das Naturhorn als auch das Wiener Horn beibringt. Seine Sch\u00fcler sind sehr erfolgreich und haben Positionen in mehreren der f\u00fchrenden Athener Orchester sowie auch in Orchestern in \u00d6sterreich inne.\u00a0Herr Siskos ist unerm\u00fcdlich in seinen Bem\u00fchungen, Workshops und Symposien in Athen zu organisieren, f\u00fcr seine Sch\u00fcler als auch f\u00fcr Hornisten in ganz Griechenland, sowohl f\u00fcr Studenten als auch f\u00fcr Profis. Er l\u00e4\u00f6dt immer wieder weltber\u00fchmte Hornisten hierzu nach Griechenland ein.<\/p>\n

Evie Papathanassiou<\/strong> studierte Klavier und Harmonielehre am St\u00e4dtischen Konservatorium von Larissa, Kontrapunkt und Fuge am Neuen Konservatorium von Thessaloniki, Musikwissenschaft an der Musikabteilung der Aristoteles-Universit\u00e4t Thessaloniki und Cello am Staatlichen Konservatorium von Thessaloniki.\u00a0Sie setzte ihr Studium am Trinity College London (Post-Graduate Certificate) und an der University of London (Master in Performance and Related Studies) fort. Sie gewann zahlreiche erste Preise bei Wettbewerben. Als Mitglied des Streichquartetts TetARTon und verschiedener anderer Ensembles tritt sie regelm\u00e4\u00dfig in Griechenland und im Ausland auf und macht Aufnahmen. Seit 2001 ist sie festes Mitglied des Staatsorchesters von Athen. Au\u00dferdem leitet sie einen Chor.<\/p>\n

Kostas Chardas<\/strong> studierte Akkordeon, Klavier, Harmonielehre, Kontrapunkt, Fuge und Musikwissenschaft in Griechenland und im Ausland. Im Jahr 2005 promovierte er an der Universit\u00e4t von Surrey in Musikanalyse. Er ist au\u00dferordentlicher Professor f\u00fcr systematische Musikwissenschaft an der Abteilung f\u00fcr Musikstudien der Aristoteles-Universit\u00e4t Thessaloniki. Seine Forschungs- und Lehrgebiete: Musiktheorie und -analyse, Musik des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts, griechische Musik, theoretische Ans\u00e4tze zur Musikauff\u00fchrung, griechischer Pop\/Rock. \nDie 1993 geborene Hanna Bachmann<\/strong> hat sich als international anerkannte Pianistin etabliert. Sie konzertierte u.a. im Wiener Musikverein, in der Berliner Philharmonie, im Beethoven-Haus Bonn, beim Bonner Beethovenfest, bei den Bl\u00fcthner Konzertreihen Wien, beim Kultursommer Semmering und beim Bodenseefestival.
\n2018 gab sie ihr Amerika-Deb\u00fct, dem 2019 eine vielversprechende Tournee durch die USA und Kanada und ihr Deb\u00fct in Israel folgten.
\nNeben ihrer solistischen T\u00e4tigkeit ist Hanna Bachmann eine leidenschaftliche Kammermusikerin und Liedpianistin. So gab sie 2023 ihr Deb\u00fct mit der Mezzosopranistin Isabel Pfefferkorn in Saudi-Arabien.

Der griechisch-rum\u00e4nische Bratschist\u00a0Ilias Livieratos<\/strong>, Erster Bratschist des Staatsorchesters Athen wurde mit renommierten Preisen ausgezeichnet. Urspr\u00fcnglich aus Preveza, G<\/strong>riechenland stammend studierte Livieratos an verschiedenen Institutionen, darunter das Mozarteum Salzburg, in M\u00fcnchen, W\u00fcrzburg und Stockholm. Obwohl er in Athen ein Medizinstudium begonnen hatte, entschied er sich, dieses zugunsten der Musik aufzugeben.<\/p>\n

Livieratos hat als Soloviolinist und -Bratschist in verschiedenen griechischen und deutschen Orchestern gearbeitet.<\/p>\n

Als Solist hat Livieratos unter anderem Vivaldis Konzert f\u00fcr 3 Violinen und Bachs 6. Brandenburgisches Konzert auf historischen Instrumenten aufgef\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n

Seit April 2022 arbeitet Livieratos eng mit Griechenlands ber\u00fchmtesten Solisten, dem Geiger Leonidas Kavakos, urspr\u00fcnglich f\u00fcr ein Wohlt\u00e4tigkeitskonzert f\u00fcr die Ukraine, zusammen, bei dem sie die Klavierquartette von Brahms auff\u00fchrten. Aris Alexander Blettenberg<\/strong> wurde 1994 in M\u00fclheim an der Ruhr geboren. In den F\u00e4chern Klavier, Kammermusik und Dirigieren folgten Studien bei Antti Siirala, Lars Vogt (\u2020), Silke Avenhaus und Bruno Weil in M\u00fcnchen, Hannover und Salzburg. \u00a0Im Oktober 2021 gewann er den 16. Internationalen Beethoven Klavierwettbewerb in Wien und ist seit 2022 B\u00f6sendorfer Artist.
\nEr konzertierte bereits im Wiener Musikverein, im Palais des Beaux-Arts in Br\u00fcssel, dem Konzerthaus Berlin sowie in der Londoner Wigmore Hall und ist ein gern gesehener Gast beim Kissinger Sommer, den Festspielen Mecklenburg-Vorpommern sowie den SPANNUNGEN Heimbach, um nur einige zu nennen. Im Fr\u00fchjahr 2023 gab Blettenberg sein Deb\u00fct als Dirigent und Pianist bei den N\u00fcrnberger Symphonikern mit einer Tournee, die von Publikum und Presse hochgelobt wurde.<\/p>\n

Bei einer weiteren Zusammenarbeit mit den N\u00fcrnberger Symphonikern als Dirigent \u00fcbernahm Blettenberg die musikalische Leitung anstelle des verstorbenen Lars Vogt. Im Mai 2023 er\u00f6ffnete Blettenberg das S\u00e4chsische Mozartfest als Pianist und Dirigent. Als Stipendiat des Jahres 2023 ist er gleich zwei Mal beim Klavierfestival Ruhr zu erleben. Zudem gibt er sein Deb\u00fct bei den Schwetzinger Festspielen mit dem Trio Neo und ist mit der Norddeutschen Philharmonie Rostock und Tschaikowskis 2. Klavierkonzert zu Gast im Wiener Musikverein. Mit der Kammeroper M\u00fcnchen ist Blettenberg eng verbunden; im April 2023 wurde eine CD (Genuin) mit Beethoven-Klavierkonzerten und einem eigens angefertigten Arrangement f\u00fcr zw\u00f6lf Musiker aufgenommen. \nSeine musikalischen Interpretationen sind neben seiner Leidenschaft zum Spiel von einer derart geballten Kraft, die dem Zuh\u00f6rer durch Mark und Bein geht. Durch Scheuchers faszinierendes Spiel mit den T\u00f6nen wird ein \u00fcberdimensionaler Klangk\u00f6rper erzeugt, wie man ihn selten zuvor geh\u00f6rt hat.\u201c Sei es der der Goldene Saal des Wiener Musikvereins, das Gewandhaus in Leipzig oder die Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg \u2013 Philipp Scheucher spielte bereits in Konzerts\u00e4len, deren Podien zu den wichtigsten in Europa z\u00e4hlen. Andrej Skorobogatko<\/strong> wurde in der Ukraine geboren. Er studierte Oboe an der Moskauer Gnesin-Musikakademie, an der Kunstuniversit\u00e4t Graz und an der Universit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Musik in Hannover sowie Orchester-Dirigat an der Kunstuniversit\u00e4t Graz. Er verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber eine jahrelange einschl\u00e4gige Orchester Praxis und war als SoloOboist im Moskauer Symphonischen Orchester, bei den Grazer Symphonikern und den Wiener Bach Solisten t\u00e4tig. Zahlreiche internationale Konzerttourneen. Von Deutschland bis China. Andrej Skorobogatko ist seit \u00fcber zehn Jahren musikalischer Leiter diverser Projekte des Grazer Kindertheaters \u201eNext Liberty\u201c und wirkte dabei an zahlreichen Opernproduktionen mit. Die Werke \u201eNabucco\u201c von Giuseppe Verdi und \u201eDie Sch\u00f6pfung\u201c von Joseph Haydn wurden unter seiner Leitung und in seinem Arrangement neben Graz auch in Wien, Essen und Leipzig (Gewandhaus) auf gef\u00fchrt. Mariella Kesisoglou\u00a0<\/span>was born in Athens. She began studying clarinet at the Conservatorium of Athens and then continued her studies in Germany and Switzerland obtaining an Orchestral Diploma and a Chamber Music Diploma. As a member of diverse chamber music ensembles she has performed in Greece, Germany, Italy,
\nSwitzerland, Poland, Canada and Brazil as well as made recordings for the Greek and the German television (ARD). Since 2001 she has been teaching clarinet\u00a0 in Berlin and\u00a0 Potsdam. She is a founder member of the \u201cTrio Viaggio\u201d, the \u201cErato Ensemble\u201d and contributed to the festival \u201cMilano incontra la Grecia\u201d at the \u201c Piccolo Teatro\u201d in Milan.<\/p>\n

Maria Papapetropoulou studied piano at the \u201cAthenaion\u201d Conservatory. After being awarded an Onassis Foundation Scholarship, she studied vocal accompaniment at the University o Karlsruhe. She has appeared in a large number of recitals and chamber music concerts in Greece, France, Germany, Italy and Turkey. <\/span>She has worked as a soloist with the Athens National Orchestra, The Orchestra of Colours, The Philarmonic Orchestra of Riazan in Russia and the Youth Orchestra of Munster in Germany. I worked as a school teacher but realised after four scary years teaching in London\u00b4s more problematic schools, that I was destined for a different career. I cut my teeth in London\u00b4s finest pub\/punk rock bands in the mid-late1970s, including The Elgin Marbles, Framed, and Dana Gillespie and toured with the now legendary \u201eSadista Sisters\u201c in 1977, culminating in a 4-week residency at the Quartier Latin Club, Berlin. As an internationally ignored rock star, I worked at various jobs on the way; a follow spot operator, stage manager, photographer assistant, night porter, dishwasher, cook, babysitter, breathy telephone hotline voice… whatever. In 1983 I auditioned for and got the role of \u201eColumbia\u201c in \u201eThe Rocky Horror Show\u201c at Hans Gratzers Schauspielhaus in Wien. Robin Green enjoys an active career as a chamber musician, piano accompanist, conductor and ensemble pianist. Lamar\u2026 love and sea in one word… I grew up away from the sea: in Warsaw, an inland city which, however, has a mermaid for its symbol and in Madrid where I was intrigued by the sea in an imaginary painting of a woman standing at the window and gazing at the sea, in Ernesto Sabato\u2019s book \u201cThe Tunel\u201d.\u00a0 A few years later I encountered this same image in a friend’s house who in turn introduced me to Alvaro Mutis\u2019 books. This happened in Attica, in Greece; a country that is not a land surrounded by sea, as it usually happens, but a country which is a sea surrounded by land. And here in Greece, I came to know it and to love it. Anybody who learns the sea in this very place is lucky. However, I am more than lucky as I am singing it with these luminous and enlightened melodies of Mimis Plessas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Participated in Masterclasses with S. Kravtchenko, P. Sheppard, D. Zsigmondy, T. Gabora, N.Chumachenko. In 2004 she received her Diploma from the Conservatory in Athens with excellence and received the first prize. In her competition experience she received prizes at the Eurovision Competition for Young Soloists, at the Arts Violin Competition 2003 and 2009 in Thessaloniki(2nd prize), and as Top prize winner at the Violinesporlapaz International Competition 2006 in Jaen, Spain. Since 2003 she has lived in Germany and is a scholarship holder from the Villa Musica Foundation. Played in 2004 on a V. Panormo violin and from 2005 on a P. Guarneri, given to her from the same foundation. She performed as soloist on tour in Germany with the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn, under Heibert Beissel, with the Greek Radio Orchestra and most recently with the National Orchestra of Athens at Megaron concert hall in Athens, the Athens Symphony Orchestra at Parnassos Concerthall. and the Thessaloniki State Orchestra. Merkourio Karalis<\/span><\/strong> was born at 04. May 1983 in Munich (D). He studied at the National Conservatorium Athens with a Scholarship from the \u00abManolis Kalomoiris\u00bb association by Prof. Ilias Demirtzoglou. He graduated with his \u00abDiploma du professor\u00bb with Excellent and 1st Prize. In 2005 he won the national competition for clarinet X.O.N in Athens and he received the gold medal from the UNESKO association. Live recordings in Greek radio and television already at the age of 16 years old established Merkourio as one of the most talented clarinet players of his generation. From 2005 until 2008 he studied at the University of Arts Z\u00fcrich in Switzerland by Prof. Fabio Di Casola the \u00abMaster of Performance Orchestra\u00bb. After passing the exams on his studies, he had the opportunity to do a practicum with the Z\u00fcrich Opernhaus and the orchestra Musikkollegium Winterthur. In 2007 he won the \u00abSaverio Mercadante\u00bb international clarinet competition in Bari (Italia). Since 2008 he has been cooperating with the Opera of Athens as a bass-clinet player. From 2008 until 2010 he studied the of Arts Z\u00fcrich with Prof. Fabio Di Casola. From 2005 until 2010 Merkourio Karalis was a national scholar of the Athens Association. During this period the Greek clarinet player gave concerts as a soloist and music partner at the Artsfactory in Greece, Switzerland and Europe. In 2010 they started transcribing traditional songs of the areas Ksiromero and Zagori. These transcriptions are based on performances of great musicians such as Vasilis Soukas and Grigoris Kapsalis. Merkourio Karalis was born at 04. May 1983 in Munich (D). He graduated with his \u00abDiploma du professor\u00bb with Excellent and 1st prize. In 2005 he won the national competition for clarinet X.O.N in Athens and he received the gold medal from the UNESKO association. Live recordings in Greek radio and television already at the age of 16 years old established Merkourio as one of the most talented clarinet players of his generation. From 2005 until 2008 he studied at the University of Arts Z\u00fcrich in Switzerland by Prof. Fabio Di Casola the \u00abMaster of Performance Orchestra\u00bb. After passing the exams on his studies, he had the opportunity to do a practicum with the Z\u00fcrich Opernhaus and the orchestra Musikkollegium Winterthur. In 2007 he won the \u00abSaverio Mercadante\u00bb international clarinet competition in Bari (Italia). Since 2008 he has been cooperating with the Opera of Athens as a bass-clinet player. From 2008 until 2010 he studied the of Arts Z\u00fcrich with Prof. Fabio Di Casola. From 2005 until 2010 Merkourio Karalis was a national scholar of the Athens Association. During this period the Greek clarinet player gives concerts as a soloist and music partner at Artsfactory in Greece, Switzerland and Europe. Nikolas Kavakos was born in Athens in 1969 and began cello at the age of seven with Vyron Fidetzis and Dana Hantzigeorgiou. He continued his studies in Germany with J.F.Sellheim and Xenia Jankovic supported by the \u201cOnassis Foundation scholarship\u201d. He attended also lessons with Phillip Muller, and Hatto Bayerle (Alban Berg quartet) and recently he received a Master\u2019s Degree in chamber music with Vladimir Mendelssohn. Since then Kavakos Nikolas has been active as a soloist and also in chamber music around Europe, the United States and Latin America, collaborating with artists such as Igor Oistrach, Dimitris Sgouros, Alexandra Papastefanou Vladimir Mendelssohn and others. He recorded for Greek and German radio and television and recently a CD with works of Christos Mentis (in memoriam). He is a founding member of the \u201cArtis piano trio\u201d with appearances in various festivals and concert halls (Athens-Epidaurus festival, Nafplion festival, Carnegie Hall, and the National Gallery). He has given lessons in Spain and Switzerland (Siguensa festival, Initiative Music Wochen) and teaches regularly in Athens at the \u201cOrpheus Conservatory\u201d. Tobias Schlierf\u00a0<\/span>Cello and vocal studies in Munich. He first worked as a countertenor in a variety of vocal ensembles (Chamber Choir Stuttgart, Singer Pur, etc.) and soloist in oratorio and opera. In 1996 he chose the bass part. 1997-2000: he performed as a solo singer at the Munich Opera Liebfrauendom and other various venues. In 2000 he started composing as well. 2002\/03 Member of the Choir of the Radio-Television’s Society of Greece and a regular guest at Greek official ceremonies. Moraites<\/span> started off in 1992 in Kalamata. Since then, they have participated in many events about traditional Greek music, inside and outside the city of Kalamata. In the winter of 2009-2010, two of the group\u2019s musicians, Georgia Marini (violin) and Stavros Panagiotopoulos (clarinet) participated in the recording of a children’s theatre play \u201cRomeo and Juliette, like the Dog with the Cat\u201d directed by Anneta Papathanasiou based on the music of Maria-Christina Krithara. In 2010 they started transcribing traditional songs of the areas Ksiromero and Zagori. These transcriptions are based on performances of great musicians such as Vasilis Soukas and Grigoris Kapsalis. Orpheon<\/span> is an ensemble specialized in the performance of the music of the Renaissance and the Baroque respecting the aesthetics of the diverse styles which these periods encompass. The ensemble employs instruments of the private collection of its director, Prof. Jos\u00e9 V\u00e1zquez, of the University for Music and the Performing Arts Vienna, which comprises over 170 choice string instruments – violins, violas, violoncellos and violas da gamba – from the 16th, 17th and 18th Centuries and historical bows, all in original condition or faithfully restored to the original measurements of the Renaissance the Baroque and the Classical Periods. This collection of fine old instruments, recognised as unique in the world by the directors and curators of prestigious museums (Metropolitan Museum in New York, Smithsonian Institute in Washington, Sotheby’s London) is at present being presented as an exhibition all over Europe, together with concerts of Orpheon, funded in part by a generous grant of the European Commission Culture-2000, Mozart-Call. A permanent museum, with its own institute for performance practice and workshop for the restoration of historical string instruments, will be established in the near future.<\/p>\n

In 1980 he was appointed to the Conservatory of Music in Winterthur, Switzerland, where he teaches performance practice, viola da gamba and baroque violin. In 1982 he was appointed professor for viola da gamba at the University of Music in Vienna, Austria. Concerts as a soloist with various European orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Z\u00fcrich Opera Orchestra, Salzburg Chamber Orchestra, and The Smithsonian Chamber Players.<\/p>\n

She also teaches German and music at the lyceum in Vienna.<\/p>\n

Born in Hungary,\u00a0L\u00facia Krommer<\/span>\u00a0received in Budapest her diploma with distinction for the violoncello, the viola da gamba and chamber music in 1996. She subsequently studied the viola da gamba with Jos\u00e9 V\u00e1zquez at the University for Music in Vienna, with whom she appears frequently in concert. The music ensemble \u201eERATO\u201c comprises of Theodora Baka (voice), Mariella Kesisoglou (clarinet) and Maria Papapetropoulou (piano). All three of them have studied in Music Academies in Germany and got together in order to unite their knowledge and express a common interpretation approach of the Greek musical art.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The main part of their programme includes Manos Hatzidakis\u2019cycles of songs arranged for a trio (voice-clarinet-piano), as well as songs of other Greek composers, such as Nikos Kypourgos and Giorgos Kouroupos.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, their interpretations include other contemporary Greek composers, such as Stathis Gyftakis, Giorgos Sfiridis, Nikos Tsotras and others, who have composed music especially for the \u201cERATO ENSEMBLE\u201d.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The ensemble has performed with great success in Greece, Germany, Poland and Italy (among other at the Munich Philharmonic and the Piccolo Teatro in Milan). Critics in German newspapers call them \u201cthe three Muses of Greek music\u201d and especially emphasize their sensitive interpretation, which reveals in all aspects the \u201ceuphoric melancholy\u201d of this kind of music.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Theodora Baka\u00a0<\/span>started her studies at the Municipal Conservatoire of Larissa, after which she graduated in opera and chamber music at the Hanover Academy of Music and Theatre.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

She has performed in chamber music concerts and song recitals as a soloist or with various Ensembles in Germany, Greece, Portugal, and Italy.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Her repertoire ranges from Renaissance and Baroque to contemporary music, including Greek music.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

She has recorded several CDs,\u00a0 of both operas and traditional Greek songs.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Mariella Kesisoglou\u00a0<\/span>was born in Athens. She began studying clarinet at the Conservatorium of Athens and then continued her studies in Germany and Switzerland obtaining an Orchestral Diploma and a Chamber Music Diploma.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

As a member of diverse chamber music ensembles, she has performed in Greece, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Canada and Brazil as well as made recordings for the Greek and the German television (ARD).

Since 2001 she has been teaching clarinet in Berlin and\u00a0 Potsdam.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n
